Coyote

Scientific name: (Canis latrans)

Diet: Most of the Coyote’s diet is made up of mammals like mice, deer and badgers, however it will also eat birds and snakes. They are primarily carnivores, but during the winter they will often eat fruits, vegetables and berries.

Habitat: Coyotes can be found in a wide range of places including fields, plains and bushy areas. A Coyote will make its den in a rocky crevice, log, cave or the den of another animal. It does not usually dig its own den, but will instead enlarge the abandoned den of another animal, for instance a fox or badger.
