Habitat: White tailed deer prefer tropical and subtropical dry broadleaf forests, seasonal mixed deciduous forests, savanna, and adjacent wetland habitats over dense tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests.

Diet: Deer eat large amounts of food commonly eating legumes and foraging on other plants including shoots, leaves, cacti, prairie forbs and grassess also eat acorns, fruit and corn.
